As you may have seen on recent tweets, I just started on as a contributor over at FoodRiot!
Let’s not pull back–I am so freaking excited about this that I cheered about it three times in one meal, and made sure that last cheers was with Port, because damn if that doesn’t make it a celebration.
I’m incredibly excited to be working on a site with such awesome writers as Amanda Nelson and Kit Steinkellner and I’m stoked to write about food. I mean, I can write about food all dang day, but try to hold back a bit here. Make it a pairing thing, you know. But, if you ever want to get into the nuances of burrata for an hour, I’m so there.
FoodRiot itself is still shiny penny new, but with a lot of the people behind BookRiot working on it, I can’t wait to see how it grows with this new topic.
I’m also excited to get the Wine/Book club going next month on BookPairing. It’s also shiny penny new, but will have more details up next week about how I’m going to run it and what books we’ll dive into first.
On top of all that, I just got my LLC papers in the mail last week and so am an official business. (As official as you can be as a writer and editor.) The new site should be coming together at the end of the month, which I’ll share for a hot second here, but otherwise getting all the logos and photos and site layouts together has been a journey of stupefied making it up as I go along shenanigans. Though, of course, reading business-y books all along the way to help out.
Whew. And I’m still reading awesome books (see: Kevin Hearne’s Iron Druid series and hopefully a plunge into MDR’s Doc very soon.)
